Meet the Founders of
The Illunis Co.
While The Illunis Co. was established in 2021, Kat and Sam have a much longer history.
The short version of our story? We’re best friends.
When people ask us how we became business partners, there is always a side glance and shared smirk between the two of us. Before we co-founded The Illunis Co., we had been friends for nearly 15 years. We met when our high school science teacher (shout out to Mr. Shea) paired us up as lab partners in the 10th grade. We were the most unlikely duo you would ever meet. Kat, dressed in all black with a sophisticated edginess that only Kat could pull of expertly. While Sam was a walking Hollister and Abercrombie ad (yes, polos, pearl necklaces, Sperry shoes, denim mini skirts…). Through science class, we became the greatest of friends. Constantly hung out together and even then people would ask us “Why are you two friends?” Truth is, while we may have looked like we ran in completely different friend groups (you know that high school with the jocks, cheerleaders, cool kids, scene kids, etc), we got along so well it didn't matter. Thankfully, to this day, we are still the greatest of friends and can separate our business relationship with our friendship.
As high school students, Kat’s interests were in newspaper, photography and video. My dream career was graphic design. We both went to different colleges to pursue our career paths. Fast forward to 2020, at the height of pandemic, Kat called me up one day and asked if I would be interested in helping her with a marketing client. I agreed because I wanted to get back into the marketing and design world after a few years away from it. We worked so well together that we decided to go into business together.
We have 3 main goals within The Illunis Co. First is to benefit the small businesses in a way that other marketing agencies don't (and to not take advantage of them). The second being an all female staff, to break the glass ceiling. Finally, the third goal was to make sure that any employee of ours (US resident or overseas) would be able to afford to live a comfortable life on a livable wage (by US standards). Too many young designers and marketers are taken advantage of because of their location in the world or their "inexperience" (horrible). We are determined to break that cycle and provide the best environment possible for any employee that joins our team.

With Degrees in Marketing and Business and 6+ years in the Digital Marketing field with a background in graphic design, I started my career as the inhouse Digital Marketer with Northern Arizona Harley - Davidson Dealerships and their 4 locations.

With experience in the freelancing world. Meghan brings to the team extensive work in CRM Management, Data Migration, and Sales. She enjoys helping her clients with their projects and visions, she is super energetic and has a go getter attitude. Her specialties include: data migration, data mining, CRM (customer relationship management), social media marketing, content writing, SEO (search engine optimization) and social media graphics.

JUNIOR WEB DESIGN MANAGER
Kaelee joined The Illunis Co. team in 2022 and resides in the Pacific Northwest! She was extremely interested in switching career paths when she found Showit and immediately fell in love with the platform and career as a website designer! Her specialities include: website design (Showit platform is her fav!), on page/metadata, canva, social media marketing, virtual assistant, and blog writing.

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
With experience in medical, HR, and brand management, she helps create the perfect blend of active engagement and well-organized content creation. With her amazing skills within SMM, Cherry has become an expert in curating the perfect following for any company through her extensive research and industry demographics. Her specialties include: social media marketing, email marketing, social media engagement (Linkedin is her bread & butter!), hashtag research & implementation, buffer and hootsuite.
